River arc is a very modern boutique hotel situated at an edge of Bolgoda river with an amazing view of the river and calm and peaceful ambience. The food is lovely and the cleanliness of the rooms, pool and the restrooms are spectacular.Highly recommend the place for an outing or a stay.
I had my engagement at River Arc, and it was a wonderful experience. The venue was very clean, calm, and beautifully located in front of Bolgoda Lake. The staff provided excellent service, and Ms. July offered great support with coordination. The location charges were fair and budget-friendly, and the team was very flexible and easy to work with. The buffet we had was also fantastic. If you're planning any private functions, I highly recommend River Arc.

We recently hosted our office Christmas party at River Arc, expecting a memorable and pleasant experience for our team. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of our expectations.Although the venue is set in a picturesque location, the outdoor area was poorly maintained, with soggy and muddy grounds. This completely ruined the atmosphere and made it difficult to enjoy the space as intended.The service was equally disappointing. Despite clear instructions and promises that snacks would be served within 10 minutes, we waited over 50 minutes. To make matters worse, the owner’s rude and dismissive attitude when we brought up our concerns added to the unpleasantness.The food quality was another major letdown. The menu, which seemed promising on paper, failed to deliver.Overall, our experience at River Arc was deeply disappointing. The combination of poor service, unprofessional behavior, a poorly maintained outdoor area, and subpar food left us regretting our decision to book this venue. We cannot recommend it for any professional or personal event.
We recently booked the entire River Arc property for a Christmas party for our startup office, hosting 20-25 members. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, and we regret choosing this venue. Here’s a detailed account of the issues we faced:1. Unfair Price Hike: After agreeing on a price during the initial booking, the rates were abruptly increased, citing the rise in essential goods. This was highly unprofessional, but due to time constraints and our prior commitment, we had no choice but to proceed with the booking.2. Poor Outdoor Conditions: While the backdrop of the location is undoubtedly scenic, the outdoor area was soggy and muddy, making it completely unsuitable for hosting a party. This severely impacted the overall ambiance and comfort of our event.3. Parking Issues: There is no proper parking facility. Only sequential parking for 3-4 vehicles was available, meaning anyone wanting to take their car out required others to move their vehicles. This was incredibly inconvenient for our team members.4. Unacceptably Slow Service: Despite clarifying that preparing snacks would take 10 minutes, the staff took over 50 minutes to serve. This delay disrupted the flow of our event and left us feeling frustrated.5. Rude Behavior of the Owner: The owner was shockingly arrogant and rude. When we raised concerns about the delays, the owner responded unprofessionally, leading to a heated argument. This level of hostility was unwarranted and made us feel unwelcome.6. Appalling Food Quality: The three-course menu was an absolute disaster. It started with a “Cream of Mushroom” soup that was anything but creamy—more like gelatinous salty water with a few mushrooms. The rest of the food was equally disappointing, with some buffet items missing from the original menu, and the dishes were bland and tasteless overall.7. Missing Items: The buffet did not include all the items promised in the menu, which was deceptive and deeply disappointing.In conclusion, this venue failed on every front: service, hospitality, food quality, and overall experience. It is not recommended for anyone planning a professional or personal event. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a more reliable and pleasant experience.
I spent 3 days at River Arc and I had one of the best experiences in my life, Julie the manager was so supportive and addressed all our needs without any hesitation. Keerthi spent so much time taking us in the Jet Ski and we all had a great time. I would definitely come back again and thank you again for your great hospitality .
We had a lovely day out at River Arc. With regard to its location, and the privacy we were looking for, it was ideal for the family get-together we had. The meal served was very good and the service attentive and helpful. The lady who manages the place was very friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing day for my daughter’s 1st birthday held in august with amazing customer service and management with the beautiful environment near the bolgoda. Foods also very delicious . The might be the greatest location for a family function in this area .
Visited River Arc for an evening get together and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and supportive. Food was good.The location is calm, quiet. Has a nice view of the Bolgoda Lake. Has the facilities for boat rides, and jet-ski ridding and the well maintained swimming pool too.Highly recommended for team outings and for hangups with friends or family.

We visited this location for a day outing and had an excellent experience. The staff members provided outstanding service, were friendly, and arranged everything as we requested. The manager (Lady) was also very friendly, supportive and flexible.The soup, bites, and buffet were delicious and well-prepared.The location was calm, quiet, and very clean.We arranged some team activities there, and the staff quickly organized what we needed and offered their support throughout the day.Based on our experience, we recommend this place for team outings and family gatherings.
DISASTEROUS EXPERIENCE.All these years I have written so many reviews in this forum. But this is the first time that I am downgrading one .(One can check my reviews)Today one of my friends arranged a birthday party for his son's 7th year birthday in this place. They have advanced a payment and booked the day from 3pm.But alas, the management had given the premises for a day outing group knowing the children's birthday party beforehand.That small space could not accommodate such two different crowds.The boozing party dragged around to 6 pm.About 15 small children waited three long hours for a swim and to run around the available small ground.Shamelessly, the manager gave so many reasons for her rescue.Innocent children unaware of the situation played for the allowed limited time.But as an adult I saw the embarrassing moment that my friend and his family encountered with and I felt so sorry for him.Anyone who is reading this, please be aware of this ruthless establishment.

Worst place I have ever been to (With regards to the service) The so called Management ruined our day. There were a few people gathering and one of our guests bought a pizza without knowing that no outside food is allowed on their 'Luxury Suite' and screamed at our guest for bringing outside food even though he was apologizing and reported us to the police the other day. This is not made up, if you are going there please be cautious of the management. They might ruin your day next. Always have your cameras ready if you get in to a fight.
I would have rated minus if i had the options. The manager’s hospitality was terrible from the start of our visit. She tried to hit one of my friend who didn’t know outside food isn’t allowed and made a huge scene with the delivery guy. At first, we said “okay, we’ll leave the food inside the vehicle” but she just wanted to ruin our stay. Then again which villa doesn’t allow outside food. They didn’t allow us to bring alcohol. I had few of my friends come in and she made a huge scene out of it as well ps: we booked the family suite which allows us to bring additional guest. Our stay got worse till the end. We couldn’t enjoy our stay since she started off in a bad foot.
Weird and rude manager, makes up "rules" on the spot and berates guests for not following them (no documentation or sign posts presented about said "rules") and disrespects guests forcing us to listen to her nonsense.Reviews reflecting our experience at the location is met with calls from the police asking us to come down to the station.I'd say nice location if there were proper parking available.The management however, is undoubtedly trash.
The best place to enjoy, we arrived on 30th July for day out at River Arc. Food and environment are so great. We enjoyed a lot at the pool and the environment. And foods are so delicious. Also, the manager lady was amiable and helpful to us to enjoy our day. Further, they provided karaoke mics and setups to enjoy our day. Highly recommended place to spend your day out.
We had a corporate gathering in here and it turns out the best decision we made. The staff were really helpful, kind, friendly and flexible. Based on the plan & expectations we had, they arranged everything in the best way. The best thing is in the time of event we had over full freedom because the place was not welcomed for outsiders. The environment was really calm, cool, clean & the view was absolutely gorgeous. Even we didn’t overnight they offered us the best quality rooms for our guests. And about the food, that was amazing and we are highly appreciated that they arranged live stations as we requested. Overall all of our guests love the place & service they offered us. This was a great place for events, gatherings & overnights as well. Highly recommended them.

We booked this venue yesterday for our son's birthday party, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for a day out. The environment was incredibly clean and serene, complemented by a friendly and accommodating staff. They were very flexible with our schedule, which made everything easier. The food served was absolutely delicious, adding to the enjoyment of our time with family and friends. Our children especially loved the pool access and playing in the beautifully maintained garden area. Overall, it was a delightful experience for everyone
This is a really nice place for a family outing. They hospitality was really good. Rooms can have fans as the AC takes time to cool.
We gathered at this location for a family get together and it was a lovely place with great service from all the staff members. The place was clean, calm and food was also nice and worth the price. Would like if the room had a fan also until the AC turns in to its full capacity.All in all a good experience and highly recommend for a stay or small functions.

Lovely place to hangout... Was not crowded when visited, we had the entire place for ourselves cause its not so famous yet. Food serving got a lot late cause they had to prepare them from scratch. Food was ok but now wow. On average bit higher price compared to other closeby known places. Good for out door functions
We booked the place for a batch get together and stayed 1 night. The location is beautiful and the staff were efficient. The foosball table was a big plus. The entertainment system in the luxury suite was good.Food was average but not worth the amount we paid for. The staff refused to switch on the fairy lights by the lake when we were dining as it was considered an additional cost.We were not given towels when using the pool and were told that they would be charging 250 per towel. The manager said that we were upgraded to the luxury suite free of charge but the air con wasn’t working properly. Other than that the suite was well Maintained. Have mixed feelings about our stay

We had an incredible stay at River Arc! There are tonnes of things to but we especially enjoyed the Foosball Table and the Jetski! The Villa location is perfect for a quick weekend gateway or even a daycation which is exactly what we needed after a hectic week. The Villa was so beautiful and the suites were just lovely! We also loved that the pool. It overlooked the Bolgoda lake making it a great place to sit by the pool and have our evening Tea!The staff was exceptional. We loved the food, we would definitely recommend the Hot butter cuttlefish. It was just Yum!. It was the perfect place for a long overdue holiday with family and friends. Thank you River Arc and all staff. We will definitely be back again soon! 😍

Cleanness of all aspects premises, rooms, bathrooms, linen, etc. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, situated in close proximity to CMB. Delicious food with great service. The time period I spent at river arc with my family was awesome. We were able to make many memories with my family. I can never find such wonderful food which we had there and I’m truly grateful to receive such an amazing hospitality services which I’ve never experienced before. My teenagers were truly satisfied with all the entertaining facilities they’ve provided for us such as jet-skies, boat rides and all day long they enjoyed their time engaging in them, that they did not even wanted to leave the place as we go.The best thing about choosing this place as your temporary habitat is because it’s closer to the highway and closer to many of the shopping malls too. So I highly recommend this place to you’ll to stay during your trip to Sri Lanka as a person who’s received an amazing service from them.

This place is ideal for parties and get together. It's a private property that has been converted into a small hotel and the reception hall. Staff is very friendly and well trained to handle customers very well and they made our function a very happy one for us.

We had a family/friends get together at Riverarc on my short visit to Sri Lanka last month.I think the hotel management has done a great job creating beautiful villa near the romantic Bolgoda Lake.They have done justice to this fascinating site.Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were lavishly done.Surely they could beat most of the Five Stars in Colombo.I was particularly impressed with friendly staff who did everything for us to feel homely.I am planning a longer stay @ Riverarc next year.
After very long time we found a very beautiful and awesome location in panadura. we were so impressed.foods are so delicious and menu was so perfect and matching Very good service given by the staff from top to bottom.... Great hospitality.... Guest are really enjoyed, special thanks for Hemantha and Dileepa ...and the location is breathtaking.

River Arc is the best Villa area i have been to.All the rooms have a perfect view, some to the river/lake, others can go right outside on a grass area to look at the view of the garden. We went as a big group of a family and had different rooms. All of them were clean and comfortable. We even got an extra bed to our room, which the sweet staff installed for us. The pool was enjoyable too and very pretty at the night when the lights were on.The staff was the best! They were so nice and kind. They covered all of our needs and was always giving their best. They always asked us if we needed anything and even encouraged us to put some music on the speaker and gave us a mic to sing karaoke on, which our family really enjoyed. They even agreed to play games with mostly the kids.Now the food was on a whole other level. Their barbeque was so tasty, and we really enjoyed them making it outside in front of us while we sat at the table under the lights. They made our menu so good, worth the money.Thank you, River Arc, for an extraordinary experience and opportunity.

We had our Friends get together and family get together at River Ark. It is a lovely place in every possible way. Staff was very friendly and went out of the way to provide all the needs to make our get togethers memorable. Food was great ,very clean and we had enough space to have a new year family festival. We all felt like it's a home away from home.we highly recommend River Arc. We definitely revisit to have a spend the day at River Ark. The scenery was amazing near the river and great for beautiful photos and it was very nice at night with lot of lights.
